When you plan your holidays, there are several goals that you consider, like exploring those magic corners which make each place unique, resting (if it’s possible) and eating, of course. For many, tourism and gastronomy go hand in hand. For that reason, the Oasis restaurant has had the honor of contributing to promote the name of Ceuta in the new edition of Fitur.
During the days in which the International Tourism Fair took place, a team from this house introduced an array of gastronomic excellencies from this land to many of the nearly 251,000 visitors, who have visited the Ifema in Madrid this year. They have been able to discover how Ceuta is an oasis, both figuratively and literally.
All of this was presented through live demonstrations where some traditional dishes were prepared, like bastela, couscous, a tasting in the form of breuas, and the traditional tea with artisan pastas. This event was considered a tourist attraction for professionals and visitors who now experienced a piece of our culinary wealth, in our case, emphasizing the fusion of our Arab cuisine with the Mediterranean, headlining the local product as the protagonist.
